The Human in Human Rights

Craig Calhoun (@craigjcalhoun) is a University Professor of Social Sciences at Arizona State University and Centennial Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a previous director of the LSE.

In the first in a series of three lectures to the LSE, Professor Calhoun will discuss the problems which arise from putting a secular conception of the human at its center for our normative and political imagination. These problems are thrown into relief by contemporary discussions about artificial intelligence and new technologies.
